Overview

Experience the two way zipper from YKK. Improved, sleek, smooth and easy.

This film was designed to showcase the new 2-Way Zipper by YKK. The product was brought to life by seeing it in use and in action, with the sample garment being worn by a model, in a variety of different scenes.

As a brand new, improved product the market, YKK approached us to create a promotional film to showcase the uses and versatility of the 2-Way zipper. The 2-way zipper is a common, well-known product, but the adaptations YKK have made to the long standing product has put ease of functionality at the forefront. It was our task to bring that to life; showcasing its uses and smooth, easy functionality.

To highlight the product’s functions, we follow an outdoor adventurer, who also has a busy life in the city. The camera follows our model trekking through the forest, as they pause for a breath looking up and ahead of themselves. They whip off their backpack and pull out their jacket, as the jacket goes on the camera moves quickly to a macro-shot of the 2-way zipper, as we see the ‘new pin’ feature lock into place smoothly and easily.

With a hidden transition, we then see the same person walking along a city center street, as they let go of the zipper puller - as a continuation of the previous shot. The moving in and out of macro shots of the product is seamless from shot to shot, further depicting a smooth, easy movement - as per the product.

It’s a film that flows and transitions just as easily as the product is used.

Each scene within the film is a new day and different time to show the different uses of the jacket and therefore the product.
