As the build up to Christmas begins, the Standby crew are working non-stop! Being so busy, the past two weeks have flown by and we can hardly believe it’s already the end of November. Here’s what we’ve been up to!
Week 21
On Wednesday and Thursday, Ash, Jack, Ellen and Cath began a four day shoot at the Hotter HQ in Skelmersdale, near Liverpool. Being able to film at the largest shoe manufacturer in the UK was incredible, and the crew loved interviewing the Hotter employees and filming around the factory and offices! On Thursday, the crew headed to a studio in Northern Quarter to film some testimonial films for Hotter, using their existing customers before treating everyone to a lovely meal in Manchester.
Whilst the corporate crew were busy with Hotter, the social team were working as hard as ever. Mark headed over to Never. No to shoot some pre-christmas content with them, before heading over to Hobs later in the week! Felix and Tom shot a really exciting new social film for Clearwatch, before drafting Rich in as an extra (of course).
On the Friday, Simon, Rich, Ellen and Cath all attended the Man@Manchester charity fundraiser for Beechwood Cancer Care. With hundreds of people attending and the likes of Dynamo there, it was a great event to raise money for a much needed cause. Standby contributed by producing and filming a film, free of charge for Beechwood. The film was shown at the event, and made a huge impact to the donations throughout the night. Standby are extremely proud of supporting such a great cause and can’t wait to see how they can help Beechwood continue to do the amazing work they do in the future. Week 22
On Thursday and Friday of week 21, Hotter’s four day shoot continued, as Ash, Jack, Ellen and Cath all headed to Crosby, Aintree and Chorley to film the last of the testimonial films. The shoot involved standing and filming on Crosby beach on a very wet and icy morning, but the crew stayed strong and powered through! The films are already in for editing, and we can’t wait for you to all see!
On the social team, Felix shot for both Diono and Velcro, whilst Mark filmed at the annual Psychi festival before heading into the editing suite for the rest of the week.
Everything Else
On the Wednesday evening, the team headed to the Frog and Bucket, in aid of Forever Manchester. With headline acts such as John Thomson, the team had a great night! To find out more or to donate to Forever Manchester, click here.
