Here at Standby, we can hardly believe it’s the middle of October already! From our pre-production team to our post, everyone is as busy and as determined as ever to bring our fantastic films to life.
So, welcome to Week 15 of the Standby Update!
Week 15 Shoots
This week Jack had the privilege of editing the footage he previously shot for client Jah Jirah. We asked him to share his thoughts on the project.
“A few weeks ago we captured some incredible stories from the residents of Jah Jirah, and this week I had the opportunity to bring those stories to life in the editing suite. It was amazing being able to hear about all the incredible stories the residents had to share, and working on this project has been a brilliant experience.”
Additionally, we are very pleased to announce that the Move Dance film for their Isla Collection has now been released! The film, entitled Be Unstoppable features Bethany Kingsley-Garner, Principal Ballerina at the Scottish Ballet. Move Dance have been a fantastic client from the offset, and Jack and the rest of the team have really enjoyed working with them. The film may have only been out 10 days now, but it’s already reached over 24,000 views! Click here to take a look.
On Saturday, Ellen, Ash and Cath joined Flipbook and MC Saatchi for a shoot for client Wiketz! It was shot entirely green screen, which was a great experience for the team at Standby. Keep an eye out for the film on our socials soon!
Everything Else
The rest of October is filling up quickly with new business meetings regarding all of Standby’s three offerings; commercial, corporate and social. The need for video content pre-Christmas snowballs really quickly during this time of year, so it’s a good sign that things are busier than ever for the New Business department!
Post production wise, Jack, our Creative Director and Ash, our Director went on a two day Da-vinci training course! Here’s what Jack had to say on the training.
“Ash and myself went on the Da-vinci course to brush up on our colour grading and post delivery skills, meaning that we can offer even more specialist skills to our clients. It involved two, very intense days of hands-on classroom based learning, led by dedicated, qualified professional trainers. The course was the perfect way for us to push our work even further to ensure we make the best films possible!”
On another note, Urban Splash put on another Foodie Friday downstairs at Beehive Mill, and the Standby team enjoyed lots and lots (and lots) of free pizza. Cheers Urban Splash! We’ll take that.
See you next week!
